GHALANAI: At least five terrorists were killed and a huge cache of arms and explosives was recovered in a operation by the security forces here on Saturday.
The security forces targeted the suspected hideouts of militants using heavy artillery fire in Karpa area of tehsil Pandyali in Mohmand Agency. Five terrorists were reportedly killed and some others wounded. A huge cache of weapons and explosive material was also recovered from the destroyed hideouts of the militants.
It may be mentioned that terrorists have attacked a picket and martyred nine Khasadars personnel in the said area two days ago.
13 suspects held with weapons in Peshawar
As many as 13 suspects, including Afghan nationals, were arrested with weapons a during search operation in different areas of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa capital on Saturday.
The operation was conducted in Pakha Ghulam, Samarbagh, Badhu and Afghan Colony localities of the provincial capital. Eleven Afghan nationals were among 13 suspects apprehended during the operation. Arms including rifles, pistols and bullets were recovered from the possession of suspects.
