Kite flying banned in Quetta

QUETTA: The administration on Saturday banned making of kites, their sale and purchase, and flying in Quetta district following injuring of four children due to aerial firing during festivities of Basant festival here Friday.

According to a statement issued by the Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Section 144 was imposed across the district banning all activities related to kite flying. Violators were warned of a strict action.

It may be added that at least four children were injured in different areas of the Balochistan capital in aerial firing on Friday during Basant festival.
