Sunil Gavaskar: A Great Legend Enter ICC Hall of Fame

Sunil Gavaskar, legendary cricketer from India, ruled the batting line-up of India during 70’s and 80’s. Gavaskar has never sit down to relax and the consistency and power that he showed in his batting is still visible when we see him on screen, in the ground, in the commentary box, and so on. The same little master, Gavaskar, has been nominated for being inducted in the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
Gavaskar was the first ever batsman to score 10,000 runs and 30 centuries in the Test cricket and led his team in 47 Test matches.
“Sunil was the greatest player in my era and certainly was the best I played with,” Kapil Dev proclaimed during an interview.
Gavaskar led his team to various wins and was a source of drawn matches when the team was actually struggling and many times he carried the bat. The low team performance made him more than cautious but he did not lose heart and got great confidence in playing against all world class teams.
The current honor of induction into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame is a rich tribute to Gavaskar’s work that he did for the improvement of cricket in India and the whole south-east region.
