Fresh attacks on ISI: RAW’s Revenge?

Mumbai attacks

After Mumbai and Parliament attack drama exposed On Wednesday, suicide car and gunmen attacked on Pakistan’s top government office- the ISI office, in which 7 people included four attackers, one intelligence agent and another government employee were killed and 40 others wounded. According to initial reports, a man rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into the gate of the office while two other suicide bombers entered the building and blew themselves with explosives.

The suicide attack happened before 5 mints aftar at the office of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency in Sukkur’s Barrage Colony, leaving ISI’s deputy Maj. Zeeshan, Azizullah, Asghar Ali, Nazeer and Nazeer Ahmad dead. The intensity of the blast was so severe that the entire city was struck with fear and panic, forcing the people come out of their respective homes. Power supply disconnected and the whole area plunged into darkness, which hindered rescue work. A large part of the building collapsed while surrounding properties ended up damaged. Glass of windows or doors of the buildings were scattered and the bikes and cars were completely destroyed in the blast.

According to DIG Jawad Alam Odho and Commissioner Dr. Niaz Ali Abbasi, 40kg explosives were used in the initial attack and terrorists hurled grenades from time to time.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Shairf and other politicians and leaders condemned these attacks. But only condemning is not the solution of the issue, it is essential to identify the real facts and; the motives behind the incident. Taliban did not take the responsibility of these attacks yet. It means there are some hidden elements who want to take revenge from ISI (Pakistan).

This incident raises many questions. Where the ISI’s security at that time? How did explosive-laden vehicle enter the city? Who benefited directly from this incident? What are the real motives and elements of this incident and what are their goals or objectives? Who is the enemy of ISI (Pakistan)? Who is the enemy of Pakistan’s Integrity and sovereignty?

Apparently, all the answers are very clear. A Muslim cannot violate the sanctity of holy month Ramadan. On the other hand, India is ashamed in front of international community after Mumbai and Parliament attack drama being exposed. It may be possible that RAW did not bear its debasement and attack on ISI so that attention of the World can be diverted. And it would prove that Pakistan is an unsafe place and its security agencies have failed to control the law and order situation.

Anyhow final facts can be derived after the results of inquiry report. Government and other security agencies should take some steps for the betterment of the country. Firstly, review its foreign policies and make some amendments in the favor of Pakistan. Pakistan’s authorities must be reminded that India cannot see the progress and prosperity of our nation and thus want to destroy its peace. Do not ignore the national interest and recognize the real enemy of this state and nation. Secondly, security agencies make strong and implementing laws against terrorism to establish the everlasting peace in Pakistan.
