China gifts solar system to Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Chinese Government has gifted one megawatt Solar Power Generation system which is the first project under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), aimed to transform the Pakistan Parliament into one of world’s green Parliaments.
The Project would also symbolize China Pakistan collaboration towards clean energy production policy and efforts, Acting Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi said while talking to a Chinese delegation.
He said on completion of the project Parliament of Pakistan will be first green Parliament in the world. He also stressed the need for replicating the model in other government buildings to address the energy crisis.
The Chinese delegates said solar power generation system for the Parliament of Pakistan would be a gift from China.
