LHC moved against inflated fares of private airlines

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) was moved against inflated fares of the private airlines taking the advantage of the protests of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees against the privatization of the national airline.

The petitioner, a lawyer Mohammad Imran in his petition stated that the private airlines mafia was exploiting the PIA privatization issue for its nefarious objectives.

He also mentioned in the petition that the private airlines mafia was behind the enduring protest of the PIA workers to take advantage of the situation.

The petitioner pleaded to the court to order the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for asking the private airlines to revise decision of hike in air fares and take strict action against the airlines over their inflated rates.
