Reply sought from ECP over Khawaja Hassan’s appointment as UC-107 Chairman
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday summoned a reply from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on November 11 regarding unopposed appointment of Khawaja Ahmad Hassan as Chairman UC-107.
Justice Shahid Kareem of LHC was hearing the petition filed by a voter of UC-107, Masood Ahmed.
The petitioner had challenged Hassan’s appointment saying that Hassan served as Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) vice-chairman so he could not contest the election for two years as he was a government servant.
