Apart from being a director, producer, actor and a successful person, Aamir khan has been expressing to what the nation wants at large through his TV show, “Satyamev Jayate (SJ)”. Surprisingly, this show of his had become so popular and democratic that Aamir Khan has achieved another feat as he has been invited to parliament.

After the weekly episode of his TV show, which gave a glance at the malpractices in the medical profession, the actor was invited to Sansad Bhavan. In this following week, he will spend his time there with his creative and constructive team members to give detailed inputs on the topic of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the pharmaceutical sector.”We are looking at it (the invitation) as a strong recognition of Satyamev Jayate’s impact on India’s social fabric. It’s a matter of great pride for all of us,” says an insider from the show.

For the first time ever in the country’s history and Bollywood, an actor has been invited to the parliament to establish his views upon relative national importance. According to the grapevine, the head of the parliamentary commission, Shanta Kumar (the former chief minister of Himachal Pradesh) invited Aamir Khan to Parliament to seek his views on this hotly debated topic. “The basic idea is to share the research (by the SJ team) on the subject of medicine. We are working hard on collating whatever details and data we can to present before Parliament. Aamir Khan is personally working hard on it,” reveals the insider.
